Default Carters Lake Crappie I need help

I've fished allatoona lake for years. I've a got ton of places I hit every year when the spring crappie start moving in to the shallows.

But my question is im totally stumped when it comes to these carter crappie. I swear that lake only has bluegill and strippers in it. My problem is the whole lake has me thrown off I pull up to some nice trees about 15the foot of the bank and bmn im in 40 foot of water. I've found some areas that are less then 10 foot but that's after I've worked my way thru 20 yards of trees and swear everyone is 20 foot plus tall underwater.

Im just asking what do the spring crappie do on carters. Cause this whole 30 yards off the boat ramp and its 200 feet deep has me just stumped.

What's people doing up there jigging these trees, setting up lights and waiting it out or what.

I love bluegill and all don't get me wrong i've caught alot of nice one up there the couple times I've went but the crappie are none existent in that lake. Maybe cause its cold but heck if I know.

I don't want anyones spots just looking for advice on carters. Cause at this moment I've got to the point im going to print out a picture of a crappie throw that in and catch it and take a picture of that so I can say there's crappie in it.

I love the lake but hate it with a passion.

Thanks in advice everyone. Sorry if its just random.

I have only fished Carters a couple of times and for Walleye. I did not do good myself for walleye either. If there is any up river creeks with some kind of shallow flats would be were I would try.

I know some people that catch some nice fish in Carters but it is usally during the spawn when they are on the bank. Too much water for me to find them before or after the spawn. Thats's why I fish Allatoona.
