Heading to Oconee either tomorrow or sunday. Just would like to know some advice on depths etc. I plan to fish Sugar creek and Lick creek areas. Not looking for advice on a certain spot but would like to know how deep of water to fish in and how deep have you been setting your jigs when spider rigging? I am worried that this cool front moving in will mess me up. What do you think the fish will do? Stay shallow to help keep bellies and eggs warm or will they move out deeper? Always seems like when I get a day off the weather turns awful!
Thanks and PM me if you guys would rather do that.

Hey Guys I have all the days off and I still can't seem to put it together when the weather is good!!!! Good luck
I heard some good things about sugar creek fish being way back in the creek and in the shallow lumber 12 to 6 fow. And the app arm in the flats same depth thinking about going there Sunday if I don't go to jackson.i hear it's just about on fire but I think the bad storms we had here today is going to stir things up a little on both lakes hopefully it's calmed down by sunday. Plus the wind is going to be much better sunday at least that's what the crazy weather men say
I have a good spot in mind thats about 8-10ft of water I am going to try near lick creek. I love the anticipation of tightlining with a single pole in my hand waiting for that bump. If I could just find some standing timber/stumps in about 6-8ft or less water I could probably wear them out. The wife and I are taking a weeks vacation down at Oconee in 2 weeks. Hope by then they will be right on the banks near blown over trees etc. like I have seen them before. Just cast out a hook and cork and sit back and relax. LOL!
Maybe I will run into you sunday gtojoe.
There is a bunch if standing timber in sugar way in the back to the right in 12 to 4 fow. If you want to try it. Same as up the app arm. That lake is going to break loose any day now. Slabs o plenty
You talking about the patch of timber thats above the marina on the right or keep on going past it towards the end of the sugar creek arm? Always had good luck between bridge and main lake but its too deep right there now. It will be good once it warms up and they have spawned out and went to deeper water.
Not where we met that time go under the bridge an all the way back on the right
