GTB, Did u make it to blackshear today? I'm thinking of going tommorrow but would like to know what they are doing. I haven't heard much about any good fishing reports.
I haven't heard and have not been, but with all the rain that was dumped at the lake and up stream from the lake I bet the current is strong and a good mud line is coming down the lake. I could be wrong. Regardless, it is almost spring and they are gonna go shallow soon if not already there. They know how to feed in the dark so a little mud aint gonna hurt the bite. Just get out of the current and start pulling jigs or pushing jigs. Get close to any wood between the channel and the banks. Mid way up the creeks would be good to start with too. Just speculating from my chair. Go get them and post up some pics and a report. It will be Sunday before I can help anyone. Some folks want to just PM others, but you can post a report without giving away all the details to preserve your spots. Water temp, depth fish caught, and which end of the lake is as close as anyone should need to know what to do or where to start. Just saying!

Fished Swift Creek Saturday morning before rain and managed to keep 14 fishing in 17', fish were around 12'-13. I am sure the fishing will change after the Saturday night flood.
didn't do much yesterday. didn't see to many being caught either. all the fish i caught were in 14-18 fow. on the lower end of the lake. didn't seem to muddy. water temp was 55-56.
I just talked to a good friend and he said he and his partner cought around 80 and only kept 52. He said the fish he cought were in deep water around 25 to 30 feet. Tempting to go but got alot of jigs to make first.
Ive went twice about a week or so ago and i didn't fish in over 15ft of water.
I wonder how muddy it is.Thinking about camping at Ga Vets this weekend and fishing some.Waiting on the boss to give ok.
