    This is my first trip to westpoint lake. Going Saturday March 25 and stay at Highland Marina any advice on where and what to fish with.


    P.s. what is a Hal-fly

    a hal-fly is a jig with a painted head, a jelly body, and a marabu hair tail. they are made in warner robins

    Now That Is Service!!! Hey Any Of You Fished West Point Since The Rain This Week? Was Wondering About The Mud/fish Situaion.it Is 3 Hours From Where I Live.

    Good for you T duke. I don't like trolling either. I would just as soon work a trotline.

    I am afraid the fishing will be mighty weak for the next week. I wanted to go back to West Point for the new moon next week but I'm afaid they will still be holding their eggs due to the cold weather.

    I personally prefer to use "Jiffy Jigs". They are only $4.50 a card of 12, and he will make any color combonation you want. His website is www.jiffyjigs.com The Jiffy Jigs seem to hold up better to the abuse of shooting docks.

    from yellow jacket to north end of yellow jacket the water is stained. From highland marina to the rest of the lake is from dirty to muddy. I was there Monday bass fishing.
