    Default Talquin

Returned yesterday wore out. First trip to Talquin this year and nothing has changed, the stump fairy didn't remove one piece of lumber and has left a few new ones to watch for......Water temps ranged from 73 to 78 from wednesday to sunday. Caught a lot of fish in the 8 to 10 inch range and could of limited on 10 inch fish most every day. The larger fish don't seem to be staging up yet. Did manage a couple over 1.5 bigges being 1.75..........Going back Wednesday and try to retrain myself after a 4 month lay off... We had a good group this weekend and I'am sure more are coming....

Sounds like plenty of catching is still going on at Talquin. Glad to read you enjoyed the trip and congrats on the fishes.

The fish are so scattered that no color, speed mattered. Most fish came from 12 to 18 FOW. Hopefully by this weekend I'll have more info, Hooker was supposed to get there Monday and if I get any info from him before I go back down I'll pass it on....

It sure was a good group down there this past weekend and it was nice to be able to get on a few fish. I may be back down this weekend for an overnight stay, but more than likely it will be next weekend before I will be able to do some "real" fishing!!

Fished four hours sun. morn. and only managed 9 keepers. All my fish seemed to be in deeper water 20 to 25 ft.and would only bite a very slow troll. [.7 mph.] I plan on going back fri.eve.
