Default Fall Bite Is On at the Hill

Fished the GA Little River on Thursday from 10a-3p. Caught 46, all on minnows over brush in 20-25 ft.. Kept a limit of really nice slabs, with a couple of 2#r's, and very few under 3/4#. Water temp has cooled to 75, and I marked bait everywhere I fished. This is a special time to be on the lake and the fall bite should only get better over the next month. Weather is fantastic and the leaves are just starting to show signs of their fall colors. We could stand some rain, but the lake level is great for fishing.

Good report slabdawg. I've been fishing the hill throughout the spring and all of the summer months long lining and have caught ALOT of fish this year. I started bowhunting when the season opened and havent been back to the hill so it's good seeing your report. It's about time those big ones started showing up some. My motor is in the shop and I wont get 'er back till the end of next week but I'm anxious to get back on the hill. Congrats on a great catch.

Great to hear you got out and actually fished!!! I am getting everything in gear now that the weather is getting right.. i only have one little barrier to overcome damn foot doctor put a 5" slash down the middle of my foot, and this thing has got heal before I can hit the lakes. Hopefully in a couple and I mean two weeks I can get that Crappie Master back out on the lake. With the weather the way it is it is killing me sitting around the house!!!
