I was thinking of shooting some docks tomorrow. Can someone give me some feedback on how high the water level is? Is it over the docks or high enough you can't shoot under them? Give me feedback tonight if possible if you have seen the lake or live nearby.

Since i can not go tommorow you should not go either! I am sure it is too muddy and too high. Have fun! Watch out for the dock beetles.
Earl,
I got to ask.......
What the heck is a dock beetle?
Lee
Old joke going back to a couple of years ago that started up around tournament time for ga. Slabmasters at lake oconee.
Yep......those beetles were terrible :p
How bad did the trash and mud get on Oconee after the rains?
I want to go this weekend some where so bad I can't stand it.

Be interested to know too Dan. The rivers north of Oconee did not rise too much from all the rain so it may be ok.
We had a great day yesterday. The water level was up a few inches from my more recent trips but you could get under docks without too much difficulty. The water in places had a slight stain but not a problem at all. The rain had little impact. I saw very little trash. The water temp was 75 early and 80 late. The wind was up some, around 8-10 mph in the middle of the day. We ended up keeping 54 with about a 1/3rd of them around 3/4-1lb. The rest were hand size. Not bad for September.
A friend of mine and his partner went to Sincliar yesterday and had 60 around 1 pm. They were shooting docks also.
Glad you had a good trip. Thanks for the update too.
