    Default Reporting in from Blackshear

Blackshear 2-21-10; Water Temp 47 on main lake; kept 16 by pushing at .3-.5 mph with double rig with just hook & minnow on top & a Jiffy Jigs and Microspoon GA Jigs tipped w/minnow on bottom with 1/2 oz egg sinker in between them; fished river channel 35-40 FOW & fish that bit came from about 20-25' down; best jig color was red/blue/white & red/yellow/white; put in at Radz and man am I glad they opened that store up! Used the ramp, got bait, got BBQ and all at the same place. Please stop by and see them when you are on Blackshear. Plenty of boat parking if you want to go there by water too. They are at the old lighthouse resturant just south of Hwy 280 bridge; Several reports from the lake this weekend of a lot of good fish being caught. I hope that some will still be around for the spawn. None of them today even looked close to being ready to hit the banks.

here's a pic of the man that caught the big ones for the day

Clarks Hill report.....Got beat again but had a great time. We fished in Dry Fork creek where we located some big females on friday but of course they where hugging the bottom all day. At 230 they started to bite and we caught 3 slabs and ran out of time. I really think that we lost 3 that would have got us a check, but that's part of fishing. Best colors was bubble gum and black/chart Hot Grubs.

Went to sinclair Sun. and I have never seen so many boats on the water at one time, especially crappie fisherman. This little warm spell has got everyone fired up! Caught fish fairly steady most of the morning and left out around 2:00. Also found some big females shallow. Hope to find some more very soon.

Went to West Point (LaGrange area) last Sat, did bank fishing, and kept 8 good eating size crappie. Not sure they were male or female, but none has egg.
