Sorry if I posted this thread on the wrong board. Beforehand I did read the rules:

Board Rules Of Conduct-Per Ed Moe

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crappie.com is my site. these are my rules and I insist on Crappie.Com being a family oriented" teach a person how to fish web site, that at any age person can visit. If anyone breaks these rules, thier post may be edited or deleted[ at the discretion of the moderator] and they can/ will be baned, simply at my discretion, if they continue to break these rules. Plain and simple; NO personal attacks will be tolerated.[ ie foul languge, inappropriate member ID names, etc. In an effort to insure that" friendlines prevades over everything else" on the Crappie.Com boards, NO personal atacks, or even negative connotations towards others will be tolerated, whatsoever. This is not a threat, this simply will be the guidelines used by our moderators and myself. So in other words do not be suprised if your post is edited or deleted. it may even happen by accident. Do not be offeneded. we are just trying to pererve the intention and spirt of the site... The sharing of information, the promotion and preservation of this sites intergrity and dignity. So, with that in mind, your post may be deleted or edeted at the drop of a hat, if you post anything that even mildey smells like, or barley resembles a personal attack or negative connotation torwards another, we will not debate what we have done, although we may or may not provide an explantion. No items for sale, buy or trade may be posted on this board. you must post them on the off topic-multi-use board. I would like to say thank you to all of you who have already been abideing by these rules unspoken. you are a great bunch of folks and I am proud to be one of your moderators. thank you, JimmyS.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All I was doing was trying to encourage some sharing of information related to crappie fishing. If I posted the thread on the wrong forum I'm sure either Jimmy or Birddog would have notified me or moved the thread. And if I was wrong posting here then I would appreciate knowing what is acceptable on the Ga. forum and what needs placing in the off-topic. There again, I'm sure the mods are the correct ones to answer this statement. Thx.

This is a interesting post, move it to the off topic and I wouldn't look at it. Too much OFF Topic stuff on there, I am here to read about crappie fishing.

The flies and tubes tip with a minnow and game on. I also like Black/Firetail in stained water. I am with gabulldog when in stained water keep the colors on the dark side.

PS That Kalin Chartruese Shad is really more like a Black Chartruese Triple Threat. They will bite it too in stained water. I have heard alot about Southern Pro's Red/Black Chartruese Grub in stained water although I personally have never tried it. Kmed1980 has done gave me a taste for some Sour Grape however. I will certainly try them. Run a search on Kelly Matthews post he talks about Southern Pro colors, his post are very informative. Hope this helps.
Countrytime I took a look at that sour grape at Kmed's yesterday and thats a good look n bug!

Hightower maybe Academy will have Kmed's Sour Grape Now and Later Southern Pro Hot Grubs. Thanks for sharing Kmed. You know we all learn by sharing. I have learned alot on this website over the past few years. I appreciate people being honest and open about crappie fishing. Met Fisheye5 at Bass Pro a few months ago. You never know who you will run into from here. You tube and fly fishermen give that Bass Pro Uncle Buck's Panfish Creature solid body tube a try in Blue/Black Chart. tipped with a minnow. For spider rigging it is a must. I know long liners want that grub tail action however. Last time up in Rooty Creek the crappie and green carp would pull it down over the Acid Rain or Blue/Black chart grub. In warmer water and the grubs will pulverize the tube baits, but when in colder water environs it pulls a switch hitter.

Good discussion on grub colors. I see a lot of guys talking about the black/blue and chartreuse tail Hot Grub. That's my go to color as well.
