Sounds like its time for some spring cleaning. could be running hot, fuel starvation, fouled plugs, old gas, gummed up carb or a combo of all of them... clean your carb Seafoam works if it is a small problem but yours sounds like I would go all the way through it. Change your water impeller, clean your plugs. and go fishing. If you dont know how, you will want to learn, after you pay the bill. I usualy save myself about $300 every time I open my tool box. the impeller is about $20, carb cleaner is about $6, seafoam is about $9 lots a luck ....PWW...
If It's stupid but it works, It isnt stupid

Gacowboy, this is an off topic subject, please post it next time on the off topic board. thank you! Jimmy S.![]()
keep seafoam in your gas fellas
Clean your carbs.if it's starving for gas then it's surely starving for oil and that not good![]()
except for the gas & oil.
Sounds like carb problems,I had the same problem on my merc, rebuilt carbs, put a fuel water seperater filter on and am running stabil marine formula in every tank of gas,no problems since thin
Try a can of Merc. Power Tune, sold at most outboard shops. Run motor at high idle, spray into all carb.til motor dies. Let sit over nite. Remove bowl drains to drain carbs.Clean spark plugs, put in new gas.Worked for me:D:D GOOD LUCK!

had similar problem tried all fixes and had my mechanic check the exhaust tube it was clogged with carbon if all else fails check it id never heard of this before but it solved the problem
I would try fresh gas and plugs at the house as mentioned above. If no go, you probably have a coil pack issue.
