Just a question... Why do you guys like sickle hooks? I've used them for shooting docks and trolling but didn't really notice any falloff/improvement. Just wondering what other fishermen like about them.

Smart jig sellin practice, if you use a sickle hook you are garaunteed to buy more cause when ya hang it up, you never see it again...

I bought my first sickle hook jigheads from Crappieday and they are fantastic! I've been trolling with them the last three years and I can't remember the last crappie, hybrid, perch, etc that pulled off after being hooked on a sickle hook. And the points on these jigheads are ridiculously sharp. Hey, if I bust some off to brush that's just the cost of doing business trolling....and when you think about the cost of jigheads, that's probably about the cheapest part of any day on the water anyway! :D Try em you'll be impressed too!

Oh, one more thing. Crappieday's wife paints the jigheads and offers some wild one-of-a-kind "tie-dye" patterns in lots of contrasting/complementing colors. Does it make a big difference to the crappie? I don't have the slightest but I can tell you they don't seem to turn up their nose at them!

    Default The “Pony"

I received my jig heads from Lightwirehook yesterday and they look good and the price is right with one day turnaround time. I got some jigheads that he calls “pony”. They are jigheads with a small silver blade. I am looking forward to trying them. I really think they are going to work good. Give him a try.

Grousefly on this forum is one of many who sell what you want. I have a lot of friends who swear by him. I just placed an order for some 1/24 heads.
