#2 0 All The Time Whether It Is With A Minnow Or A Jig Head. #4 Sometimes For Dock Shooting.
#2, #2, #2.2.2.
What Earl said, #2s and #4s.
I use gold eagle claw #2s to make my trolling heads and gold eagle claw #4s to make my my dock shooting heads.
I've tried all the colored hooks and sickle hooks but I've just never noticed a difference in catch rates from one to the next. Just a matter of personal preference IMO.
I think there is very little difference in catch rats between hook sizes. My partner uses 2s for dock shootin and I use 4s and we cant tell a difference. Some guys I know that do extremely well in all the tourneys at talquin only troll #4s and #6s while most others probably only troll #2s.
#2 always
a friend of mine will only use red hook and red line . he said side by side he has caught more fish of all species on red . he uses #6 and sometimes #4 hooks. he is 70 years old and a avid fisherman
retired and now i will always fish
gold hooks from EC, #2.
On my drop shot rigs I use a gold Eagle Claw #2 on the bottom and a snelled gold #6 on the top.
check with keith, he may have some sickles
