    Looks like Rt29 parallels I-85, would that be a better option to avoid the construction? I don't mind traveling a little slower, as long as it's not alot of stoplights etc. Actually we kinda like traveling the back roads and seeing grass roots America.

    85 is your best. tthe stretch we are talking about doesnt stop, its just very narrow with a concrete wall a foot from your boat trailer tires, thought it just made me nervous, you will see, ride in the left lane and you will be fine.

    I'm not real worried about the narrow lanes. I was more concerned if there isn't any shoulder or pull off, an accident or break down, would pretty well close the road.:rolleyes: That's the only trouble with the big highways, they close um down and you're stuck. Hope to see Y'all at the slabfest.
