No one alive today remembers the first time that a young girl invited an equally young boy into her bed.

We have all known the consequences of our actions, and if given the opportunity, how many teenage romances would have changed.

As a father of a 36 year old daughter, I certainly have no right to influence how a parent of a similar young girl would feel.

I do know this..........

Anyone who forgets that teenage love is any different than a mature relationship, is denying a fundamental drive that has started many a serious relationship, and if you want to argue that if teenagers don't have the ability to decide a "love connection", then our 40+ year old relationship has been considered, to have had no value.

I do not have any problem with those defending their daughters.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do want those with teenage daughters, to remember that the choice of their daughters, are not those of the parents. If your daughter choose to invite a "boy" into her bedroom for over a year, prior to the parent, ie: DAD, knowing, much less approving, is a clear indication that the daughter has perhaps reached the age of "consent".

Doesn't make the acceptance factor change, pissed is pissed.

Please don't shoot, beat, or kill, the young fellow that your daughter has chosen, as the "LOVE OF HER LIFE". If you think you're pissed about your daughter allowing an unapproved bed partner, THINK about how she is going to feel, if you eliminate that person from her life................

I personally could not accept the long term consequences of having taken into my own hands, the fate of her choice, in an immature relationship, as the choice as a "DAD".

Those that would have choose to have eliminated "SHOOT, BEAT, WHACK, ETC. the interloper of their daughters bedroom, will, in my opinion, have an uphill battle to regain a trust issue. A teenage girl who decides to invite a "lover"into her bed has already escaped the boundaries of parental control.

Be careful who you shoot, beat, or chastise, for sleeping with your Little girl?/daughter, because that may be the young man that will have loved her and been devoted to her here for over 40* years.

But, then again, if I were to have happen to discover a "neck'ed" kid, i can't imagined how I would have reacted.
