    Default Show yo' Boat

Just trying to kill some time until it gets cooler. Thought we could show our rides. Tell us a bit about it. Where you got it. How you like it. Upsides and downsides. Kinda helps us ID each other out on the water. Am sure it has been done before but people trade, swap, upgrade, downgrade and we get new people. I hope my ride is attached. A 1959 16 foot Herters Quebec with a 1966 electric start 20 HP Johnson. The motor I bought in Jacksonville, Fl. the boat came from Crawfordville, Fl. and the trailer is a homeboy. The good, cranks easy and cheap on fuel. The boat is very dry in rough water and takes it very well. The bad, no live well and limited storage. Wish I had a place to attach some rod holders. Doubt anyone cares. Possibly the only one like it south of the Mason-Dixon line.

'97 16' Carolina Skiff, 50 hp Johnson 2 stroke motor, and trailer. Dislikes...wish I had a 19'er for more room.:o It'll beat ya to death in rough water (flat bottom), didnt add livewell when I bought it. Likes...easy to clean, drafts extremely shallow, requires smaller motor than most boats so cheaper to operate (I put a 50hp on my boat which is rated for a 35 hp max.)

    Default my ride

16 'Alumacraft powered by a 40hp Johnson. Since I bought it I added 2 fish finders, replaced the carpet, and added 2 outlets for night fishing.

This is the 22 year old boat that I reconditioned last year. I have added a couple of other bells and whistles since these pics were taken:
