I'm with PBugs...Pfleguer (President) are hard to beat. I stared out using a spincast reel years ago. The trigger/button made it easier for me to learn how to shoot them docks!

Thumbs up Browning super lites rule!

Its all in what you get used to crappie little. I have big hands and therefor i need a reel that doesnt hug the rod when shooting docks.
I love the browning super lites. they come in different sizes (like a 250,500 and a 750. i use the 750 series to shoot docks with. they are very good reels, they have 10 ball bearings and are very reasonably priced. $25.00 at bass pro. i use the 500 series to troll with. the drag on these puppies are excellent also. But like i said its all in what you get used to. Good luck choosing and shooting!

i started out with a open face but i like the under trigger spin better .
with the open face ihad tangle line and forgit to flip the bale .with the undertriggerspin just pull and hold the trigger and let it go . what i am using now is a DAIWA US120XD. Bass pro had them on sale a while back and i got thea little cheaper.
retired and now i will always fish
