    Default Dragonfly's 9 Point

    [IMG][/IMG]

This ain't a crappie but I had to share the AWESOME day we had today. Melissa had been hunting for two years now and has been hunting hard. She has jumped into hunting as hard as she has crappie fishing. This woman is just amazing in so many ways! Well she stepped it up a notch this morning with this huge bodied 9 point. She has put in her share of seat time on the stand and it finally paid off. I wasn't on the stand with her so I can't give you all the details, but when she shot and then called me the excitement in her voice told me this was MORE than just her 1st deer! She made a perfect shot. No BUCK FEVER for her!!!! (we will be trying a different bullet because it should have dropped this buck in his tracks......but the tracking was tough with very little blood trail). Live weight was 227 and that is HUGE for a GA deer. Maybe not the biggest rack you ever saw but his body made the rack look smaller. Pics just don't do this deer justice. Many a man has hunted all his life and not taken a deer of this quality, including ME!!!!! He is headed to Buck Master Taxidermy and will be sitting next to my crappie mount Buck Master did earlier this year. Thanks for reading.

Whoa, that is one awesome deer Melissa , I'm so proud for you. Move your fish over Dan and make some wall space for that new mount.

Wow, that's a nice buck! Congratulations! I love that she is wearing a crappie tshirt. That's a good girl for sure.

What kind of rifle was she shooting?
