You definitely want to pull a soil sample and if you need help on the proper technique for going about pulling a good sample just type "soil sample" into the search listed above. Remember, the information you get back from a soil sample is only as good as the sample that you take so don't be lazy when you pull your sample. Unlike something I read earlier it shouldn't take much more than a week to get your results. When you get the results it will give you specific fertility instructions for each crop/tree you intend to plant.
