yall know I'm an Auburn Tiger fan..

I just saw the highlights of the dawg/poke game...How the hay was that a personal foul on the pass that gave the pokes the ball near the goal line. It looks like UGA has some headhunter DBs to me.. I guess they just hit too hard on that play. Football ain't football these days with calls like that.

Its a penalty b/c he went high towards the head. If his drops down and spears him in the mid section.... No penalty.

They dawgs gave that game away with turnovers. I wasn't impressed. If this is the way they're going to play ball then it's going to be a long season.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.

I thought it was a hell of a hit. I also thought it was a legal hit as well. The Defender saw that the Poke was going to catch the ball and he nailed the *@+# out of him. I also saw FOUR flags thrown from all directions on the play. I think the way the defenders forearm came up from under the chin strap into the neck area was the reason for the foul. It made the hit look illegal. I did think an earlier hit on Dez Bryant was illegal, helmet to helmet. Dez got his clock cleaned on that one and flew backwards, hit the ground and jumped back up. The guy that made the hit had dazed himself from it.

If the penalty you're talking about wouldn't have been called, that may have saved one of the scores from happening.

In all honesty, from Georgias first possession and OSU's first possesssion had me saying to my parents a line from the Waterboy...."Oh no, we suck again"! Those Dawgs drove right down the field and States D had squat. Then the Cowboys Offense was flat as could be. I really thought we were in for a long, long day and another case of a lot of preseason hype coupled with dissapoinment when playing a quality team.

The Cowboys Defense turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Parrish Cox was a nightmare for the Georgia Offense. I was extremely dissapointed at the Cowboys Offense though. Not much change on the O from last years team that tore up the turf, yet they seemed about as flat as a pancake.

All this said, I think the main difference in the game was the greeness of the Bulldog Quarterback. If he wouldn't have made the mistakes he made, the game might have been a nailbiter. Perhaps this non conference game loss will make him better prepared for the trenches of the SEC battle.

Thanks for coming to Oklahoma State for the game Bulldogs! I wish you a healthy and productive remainder of the season.

Pay no attention to Jiggy, he's a great guy, and an Oklahoma State student. He's a bit young, and we expect him to be a little louder and harsher than the rest of us. He's a great kid that ties a mean Jig, and catches a whole bunch of Crappie.

hat's off to ya, osu. you guys gotta good lookin team. now for the uga fans, i've heard a lot of bad things about joe cox's performance and i will admit he did not look sharp. but the most glaring weakness to me was richard samuel. he had huge holes to run thru all day and gained 87 yards. i don't think i saw him break a single tackle and he's not fast at all. knowshon is the biggest loss from last years team, imo. defense looked good though, considering they were on the field the whole day.

YKK - That was a clean hit. It was not high to the head. The hit was to the chest and shoulder. Yellow Jackets see what they want to see. It was very hard and I think that is what got the refs attention. He made a bad call but he does not have instant replay. It was not the reason we lost either.

Ok State Fans - you keep hanging around. you better move on and think about the next game.

Ga Players and Fans - we need to concentrate on "Little Stevie wonder" from South Carolina. The OK State game if over.

Personally PD, I didn't see anything wrong with the hit. I was merely explaining why it was a called a penalty. Defenders walk a very fine line when they hit an exposed offensive player like that anywhere above the waist. I do agree with you that it didn't have much affect on the outcome of the game. Cox was the biggest problem but now he's out so I guess yall will get to see what Gray can do now.

Cox did lose his composure. He didn't get much help from some of his team mates. All you can do is move on and try to make good adjustments. Next year we will schedule a high school team to practice on for the first game. See you at Oconee when the weather cools off. Crappie can't talk back and all we are doing now is bidding our time. My fishing partner went with someone else yesterday (I had to work) and they caught 60. I can't stand much of that.
