    Default A tribute

For those who may have not seen this:
Sgt 1st Class John C. Beale tribute

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There still is hope Americans realize the sacrifice our soldiers make to maintain our freedom..........

Killed in action the week before, the body of *Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale* was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. This was filmed during the procession by a State Trooper.

    Default Wow!

If that does not make you proud to be an American, I do not know what will. It truly touched my heart and I thank you for sharing it.

There is something all of us can do to show our appreciation everyday to our military. EVERY time you are in an airport, restaurant, convenient store or wherever you see a soldier in uniform, shake their hand, thank them for their service, buy them a meal or pay for their convenient store purchase. I carry a pocket full of $20 bills every time I am in the airport. I ask if they have had a meal today and insist that they let me buy it for them. If I am in a restaurant, I thank them for their service, pay for their (and their family) meal anonymously, then leave. Last week I waited in a convenient store until a soldier in uniform got to the counter. I made sure I was just ahead of him in line and paid for both of our items purchased. This small gesture will make your day and it is the least I can do. Each time I say a prayer to protect them and thank GOD for the opportunity. Try it. It will make you feel so good about yourself and will strengthen your faith.

That is such an awesome sight we just had one up in bartow co. last wk. we all should be more thankfull. ]Without a doubt the RiverHawk does this, I sent him a private message asking about a post he had made and he wound up taking me fishing in his boat fed me lunch and giving me a pack of each of his favorite lures. It is refreshing to see young men like him.

I agree with everyone on this post. Being a retired vet, it still touches my heart to see these brave men and women giving 100%, to keep us free. I still go out of my way to assist the wonderful people. Being in uniform and a stranger does one of these gestures as yall have mention goes a long way for these people.
