Believe it or not, in 1985 my dad got a dui riding horseback in the Jones Creek area. I just thought that was the craziest thing. He blew well over 2.0, but the horse was sober.... I kindof figured the horse was in control at that point so why the DUI?
if you haven't drank at all and someone is riding with you in a veh. with a beer or any type of alchol and L.e. stops you, you can or will get charged with open container while operating a vehicle..It's never happened to me but a buddy of mine it has...
If your in the passenger seat drinking or drunk no dui just if in the driver seat...
but I would be p.o.ed if i got a dui mowing my lawn...lol
I knew a guy who would keep a pint of vodka in his car and if he got stopped and had been drinking he'd get out with the vodka in one hand and his keys in the other lay his keys on the roof and take drink of the vodka. He was never convicted of DUI but charged several times he did wind up with multiple public drunk convictions though.

I guess the safe bet would be..........ride with more than 2 people in the vehicle.....ride shotgun on the mower & the golf cart & the tractor & the horse? That don't sound like much fun! So...............................you guessed it.............wait till you get home!
If I was the driver and my passenger caused me to get a ticket I know WHO would pay the fine. With all the Designator Diver advertisments on TV and I get a ticket cause I'm being a friend? That woudl PO me big time.Quote:
