    Default New and clueless

New to fishing. New to Missouri. New to so much more too. I have a great selection of poles to use. From what I have read here my two favorites should work well, Ugly Stick GX2 and UglyStick Combo. I also have several R2Fish combos for trout but they are set up similar for all small fish and some small Shakespeare Trout combo packs. I used to live a couple miles from Big Bear Lake in California and it was awesome for trout. Never fished there though.

I am retired and now live near Talbot Conservation in SW Missouri. Good midway point for the two bigger lakes I guess. I am working on modifying my Suzuki Boulevard to hold two poles on the back and a back pack tackle setup. Besides that I have my car and a small RV to find places to fish. Always ready to learn and will be going to Bass Pros Crappie clinic in February 2018.

Biggest question is where do old farts hang out to fish? I go with my wife so couples must be OK but no hanky panky. It took 35 years for us to get this far and no need to spoil it now. I also have 2 small ponds on my 11 acres so as I repair them to hold water better I will practice casting there while full.

Not sure what else I should reveal but glad to read along and learn how to live the simple life. Used to hunt but a new hip is slowing that down.

Call me Gimpy, or Grumpy but if you must I also go by Joe.
