    Default Hello and Howdy from a newB


    Wanted to stop in and say hello, my name is Eric, and for about another 3 weeks I am in the panhandle of Fl., then I'll be moving to Springfield, Missouri. I am a disabled Veteran, ex truck driver, am currently boatless but hopefully not for too long. I have tied a few jigs, nothing fancy, but some that have worked around a few of the local ponds and small river here. I am going to try my hand at pouring soft plastics shortly after getting settled in. Any info on local lakes or ponds in the Springfield area would be most appreciated. Thank you ahead of time. Oh yea, this is the best site on the net...I have been surfing around a bit reading, and learning...everyone here is very helpful, and generous with helping t hier fellow fishers, just amazing in this day and age...Thank you all again.

    If you're moving to Springfield, you will be close to many big lakes! Tablerock, Norfork, Bullshoals, Taneycomo to the south. Pomme de Terre, Stockton, Truman, and Lake of the Ozarks to the north a bit farther drive though! Welcome and Good luck with the move!

    Thank you for the welcome, and the info Barry G. Now all I need to do is get there..., get settled, and find these places...sure am glad for Google maps...
