Hey there everyone and thank you for the nice welcome notes.I am sure you all can help me here, i am super new to fishing here in Texas. i am Australian and have fished my whole life in saltwater, if it swims in saltwater i can catch it, i have been fishing for fifty years. I have never fished freshwater and had never heard of Crappie fishing before. I am also learning how to bass fish but want to learn about all species here.
i saw a show on tv about Crappie fishing and was hooked plus from what i understand they also taste great.
They didnt however give much info on baits ,lures or how to rig for them. i love to fish very light line and would appreciate any help i can get, also i am fishing from shore.
So please feel free to flood my inbox with any and all info, thanks in advance and TIGHT LINES!

If you've ever done any bream fishing in Australia, you can use a lot of the same tackle and tactics. Small soft plastics fished with spinning gear and light line will get you crappie, bass, etc.

You might want to visit the Texas state forum & introduce yourself ... might find some local info, and maybe even someone to hook up with for a trip or two.

You can also view the discussions on the Main Message Forum, and various other forums of interest, and join in the discussions on topics of interest to you.

If you haven't already ... read this thread : http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-...rules-conduct/
You can also get lots of free info & how to's on this site : https://www.crappienow.com/

And to Crappie.com .... THE #1 Crappie Fishing Site on the web
