Hi everybody, nice place you have here. My son (9) and I got into crappie last year, but they are tough to find up here (Winnipeg, MB). Now, giant channel cats, huge walleye, and big pike are here in great numbers, among so many other fish species. We live on a river and catch trophy catfish in our backyard every day in open water season. But crappie are just different. We've enjoyed targeting them both in Summer and in the winter. They are a blast!

Our next trip will be soon, and being the time of year here, that means through the ice with a couple of flashers. Oh, and just for you guys in the warmer climates - I put the 12" extension onto my ice auger last night because the ice is now too thick for the 42" flyte!

Thanks for having us here. We look forward to learning a great deal from everyone!
