Hey y'all. It has been a long time since I did any serious spin fishing in fresh water. I just used fly rods and saved the spinning gear for the salt. But I have recently rediscovered the joys of pan fishing from the bank and so I went out and picked up a couple of ultralight spinning outfits. It is a blast. Just no hassel fun. And I get to rediscover crappies, a fish I have neglected for decades. I still fish mostly for bream, which can include a Noah's ark of exotics as well as the occasional small tarpon here in the South Florida canals. But with the weather thinking about getting a little cooler crappies are on the menu. I warn you that I will be pestering y'all with questions on both fly and spin techniques.
