thank you one and all for the hearty welcomes. Hope to get to know you all soon. Thanks again.
When I get back home to FL I will give you a shout and we can go fishing. Hope you are some where near Ocala.
Hi Eric.....even though you have been dealt a heavy blow, you couldn't be in a better spot than around all the CDC folks here.....old saying (song actually) goes..."strangers are only people that you have not met"......have Faith and know that Someone knows your pain and is watching over you....
Remember "the deeper the valley, the higher the mountain".....with the positive attitude you have, you will be back on the mountain top soon......
God Bless
The "King" is coming
This could be the Day....
RETIRED LOUISIANA CRAPPIE HUNTER
Welcome from SC. I had part of my colon removed due to diverticulitis but it was chicken feed compared to what you are going through. I think what we consider lurkers are the ones that try to glean out all the hot fishing spots and styles and never contribute to the forum or try to help others.
You are certainly welcome here and if anything we post makes your day a bit better then we are all the better for it.

Eric, Crappie.com is Home to more great people than I can count.
I tell you I'm in my 40's and I do have a Facebook account. I spend more time here on Crappie.com. Friends and Family on FB don't always understand my Fishing Addiction.
And Living in Finger Lakes Region of New York, the cold winters and ice. I thank God for the wonderfull folks here who keep me from going crazy.
We may have some lurkers here. One things for sure even the lurkers know a good thing when they see it.
So welcome to the family and when you feel better,... Drop us a line and share your stories.
Wishing you Blue Skies and Tight Lines
Thank you for the welcome NYHellbender. I greatly appreciate it. Well I will certainly do what I can about posting on here. I am currently here at my sister and brother-in-laws house here in Crestview,Fl. I really got sick shortly after I got here. Now mind you I am the youngest one here at 56 yrs old. My sis is 66 and her husband just turned 74. Now on with why I got sick. Some time before I got here my brother-in-law traded an old tri-hull boat with a 65horse murc. on the back for a riding lawn mower. When I asked when the trade was to take place, he said "whenever the other fellow brings the mower over.No matter how much I told him he was being taken, he wouldn't listen to me. I told him I would buy the boat as I was already using a push mower to cut the grass anyway...no deal. Well I can respect the fact that he kept his word on the deal, but can't figure out why he made the deal to start with. To make a long story short, I am stuck here with no wheels at the moment and no way to even get to the water if I had a boat. But it sure would have made me feel better about it if I had that boat to go fishing in rather than sitting here not able to even wet a line. It's a lot easier to get someone to take you fishing, even if they have to haul the boat to the water, knowing they are going out in the water , than it is to get them to go knowing they are stuck on the shore. Least wise that's been my luck, anyway. so as soon as I can get to the water and fish, I will post pic's and give a report of the trip. Mean while I will enjoy the fellow ship of all you all as I read your stories and admire your pic's, and congratulate you all on the fine mess of fish you have caught. Once again I want to thank you all for helping me fell better about my situation here till I can get it changed....
Eric, if you ever find your way to SE Indiana let me know. I will be honored to take you out fishing and show you around. Nice area of the country here. No earthquakes to speak of, no hurricanes, no volcanos, gets hot but normally not very long, don't get crazy cold, just a nice place to live.
Well, thank you very much gregsayers2000. I just might do that some time. But right now I have to stay down here. However if I ever head in that direction I will definatly drop you a line. The hospitality of the people on c.c. is just awesome. Thank you again.
Eric, it looks to me as though you have one of the best reasons I have ever heard for just cruising this site. Wonderful to hear that the surgery was such a success! Hope you are back out there catching your fair share soonWith all you have been through in the last few months, things can only get better and it sounds as though you deserve to have some things looking up!!!
