Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I am from the Gaston area of North Carolina. I am just starting to get back into fishing. I used to fish when I was a teen, but it's been about 25 years since I have tossed a line. I will be 46 in May and I am on disability so I have plenty of time now to get back into it. Just got my lifetime fish/hunt lic today in the mail and ready to go. I used to love to catch crappie, they are my favorite fish to catch. However, just sitting under a nice shade tree by the bank with a slight cool breeze on a warm quiet peaceful spring day, ahhh-it don't matter if you even get a bite, it's still a great day fishing.
