Newbie soon to be new to the area
I am in the US Air Force. I love fishing, I love fishing with a passion. I originally grew up in Maryland and my Dad has always told me of stories of how the crappie fishing used to be so great in that state, in my 20 years of fishing before I joined, I never caught one....not one crappie. Maryland fresh water fishing as a whole has gone down the tubes...too much pollution. I plan to catch alot of crappie when I move to the Warrensburg area (will be stationed at Whiteman). Truman will probably be the body of water I fish the most, but I also plan to hit up Stockton quite often as I am an avid fan of Walleye fishing.
Bass fishing? Meh, it's fun, especially smallies, but to me they just aren't as good to eat as Walleye, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. I have yet to catch any White Bass or Hybrid Stripers either and I hear those are some good eating too.
Really excited to be moving to the area in the spring of '12.Thumbs Up
