    Default Hi everybody!!

So glad I found this forum. I have fished off and on since I was a kid but have never been very talented at it. Recently retired(not my idea if you KWIM). Wife and I always said we'd get a little fishing boat when that happened and danged if we didn't. It's used and old but then, so am I.
I've always been the guy who puts a worm on his hook, fishes about 3' deep and decides they just aren't biting after a half hour or so. I have begun to learn there is a lot more to the art of catching fish than that and am looking forward to learning. I also enjoy reading and woodworking. From the posts I've already read this seems like a real friendly place and I am happy to be here.

I've been woodworking since the early 70's and the desire ebbs and flows. Biggest reason I never went professional as it's a hobby and a release for me. I also reclaimed some wood from my brothers barn when he tore it down. Got some really nice white oak, some of the boards were 18" wide, over and inch thick and 16' long. They were killer on sharp edges though! Hate to think what a board like that would cost from a mill.

It's a sunny, woodsy day in Lumberton, so get those chainsaws out. This is the mighty W.O.O.D. the musical voice of Lumberton. At the sound of the falling tree it's 9:30. There's a whole lotta wood waitin' out there so let's get goin'!
