Hi y'all,

Been fishing off and on since I was a young 'un...I'm now 50 years old. But it's been mostly off the last 15 years or so. One thing I never could understand before...and maybe one of you could enlighten me. Why is crappie fishing in particular such a draw? Why not bream fishing? And what's the difference between crappie and any other sun fish? Am I missing something? I've caught many bream in my life, but only because that's what was biting. I was basically fishing for whatever would bite my hook. I know why they have bass boats, since that seems to be the iconic fish for the sportsman...but crappie boats? I've never fished from a boat, since we could never afford one, but looking at the design of the crappie boats vs the bass boats, I can't see what people see in the bass varieties. Crappie boats seem to be the best design for the fisherman, or maybe that's the fisherman that's not in a hurry (which is the only kind of fishing I could imagine...the unhurried kind).

Anyway, just rambling along. Howdy to all y'all.
