Wading boots have felt or studs on the soles so you can wade without slipping. If, on the other hand, you'll be sitting in a float tube in a pond, they're not necessary.
I will be wading in trout streams, but is there anyway I could just glue felt sole replacements on an old pair of hiking boots?
