Freedom Hawk Kayak
First time out this year, too many obstacles during past weekends has prevented me to wet a line... today I took my new Freedom Hawk 12 Stand up kayak for her maiden voyage.... and I am very pleased with it. I fly fished 5 hours non-stop standing up paddling around a pristine NH pond, without any fatigue... with my other Old town kayak after 3-4 hours my butt goes to sleep and legs & back start giving out

This kayak breaks down ,,,the expandible parts are inside the Jeep... 8' goes on the top very easily,,,take about 3 minutes to put it together... I can break it down and put it inside mini van with out any problems

Fully set up ready to go

ready for battle... 3 new fiberglass acquisitions this year.. 2 Fenwicks FF756 and Wonderod 9' FY608... all casted sweet... I try to have one set up with floating line one sink tip and one sinking line to cover all levels of water

Muddlers/flash dancers on sinking line is a deadly combination... all bluegill were very respectable in this pond. Crappie were very aggressive... Flash dancers were a searching fly and found several schools of fish

As you can see the back end of the Kayak opens up so that your can stand up and fly fish 360 degrees with any issues, very stable

42 acres of tranquility and solitude...spent a nice afternoon listening to the ducks flying overhead, wild birds chirping and singing on the waters edge, smell of spring in the air here in New England.....when you just say, "Life is Good"...
Until next time ...
One more fish
