Thread: First Fly Ever,lol

Have'nt been able to catch a fish with one of my jigs in a while.It got really hot,at least 107,they say,feels like 147.Fish chasing shad everywhere in the shady spots.So,I figured if I can tie a jig,I can make a fly.I want to fish it like when I was a kid fishing minnows with a couple tiny splitshots about a foot up the line and giving a slow retrieve through the rapids.In this case to the bank and slowly back to the boat.Think I'll get a bite?I'm sure that these fish have never seen a fly before,it's a bass and bluegill lake.
