    Default Lake Miccosukee

Wife talked to Eli yesterday at Reeves up at Lake Miccosukee, the specks havent even really turned on yet as the water is still cold and they are still full of roe up,and he expects them to get hot on the full moon. Going up next week to give it a shot. April the bluegill should turn on,it is known for monster bluegill.

Miccosukee was my home lake for years until the corp lowered the spill way and dropped the water level back in the gator hole. Last time we tried to get in there the water was 2 to 3 feet and full of grass and those large lizards were everywhere hence the name gator hole. The reports I've gotten are specs and fly bream are active in the gator hole but dead in the basin. If you don't mind push poles or you have a mud motor/air boat the fish are there for the taking. The monster bluegill bed back in that shallow water also. There's a landing off of RO CO CO rd that's on the south end of the lake and will give you ready access to the gator hole. If you can get in there you'll fill the buckets..... good luck.
