does anybody have any inforfamation on lake panasoffkee.never been there but heard it was a good bream and bass lake.any info would be appreciated.
rawhide is right
Its also good for shellcrackers.
Fish little sandy pockets in the grass with a slip float and red wigglers (no bobber stop) if no luck and you cant find them, troll beetle spins if you can.
Floating the edge of the outlet for redbreast is usually good too,up against the bank.
For bass, my favorite way was doing a figure 8 ,with a long pole, short line and a topwater plug along the banks of the outlet, just keep an eye open for rocks.Of course in the lake itself is good too.Good luck
Hey Florida- Two questions if you don't mind- where is the outlet? and how do you use a slipfloat w/no bobber stop?![]()
Thanks for checkin' on me! CURIOSITY takes me there, SUCCESS ushers me back!
You fish your bait right on the bottom than just use a slideing styrofoam bobber (the kind that just has a hole thru it,not the split kind)on the line, no bobber stop or pegged bobber,so it slides freely on the line. I use as small a one as I can,if a fish bites on the worm or whatever, the bobber will move or twitch. The outlet is sort of at the north west corner of the lake it runs from lake panasofkee to the withalacoochie river. It runs under hyway 470, it is just north of the town of Lake Panosofkee on 470.It forms at the lake right at Panavista Lodge.
Hope this helped
I fished it Sunday. I was dipping shiners on structure on the banks and the shellcracker was everywhere on the north edge of the lake. But watchout crossing the lake , it drops down to 2 feet with heavy grass in the middle of the lake. And by the way save your shiners for a betterplace all i pulled were a couple of 2-3 pounders.
I aint here to tell you anything. You want to know what Im doing....pm me and meet me on the lake.
