    Default Newnans Lake


    Anyone ever heard of this lake???? I been reading about it in a book I bought about fishing lakes in Fl. Thinking about maybe trying it tomorrow instead of crescent Lake.

    yeah its in between gainesville and lochlossa. decent speck population not large fish but good numbers and their picky little ones too. deep water is off the point which is on the west side of the lake. the south side near the boat ramp is duck hunter ville. if you have a godevil or mud buddy its a popular site for duck hunters. the rest of the lake is decent scattered vegetation and structure. good luck post some results. oh yeah there is a baitshop right at the boatramp off the south end. but dont trust them over their fishing reports they blow smoke.
