    Default Talquin Ketchin'

    Friday 3-06

Me and Rawhide went fer'em. Slow early on, caught some dinks. Put one nice one in the boat. Sun got up and it heated the water, we moved over to some flats 12-15' deep. (Thanks Chuck) They were scattered in a deeper patch in that flats.
We broke for a can of sardines (me), and Rawhide got a can of potted somethin'.
Went back and it was slower but we managed to pick up a few more nice ones. Called it a day about 3:30 I think.
Brought home 18 with all but about 4 being way over a pound.

    Sunday 3-08

Me and Rawhide went fer'em agin. Early on we must have thrown back 20 underslots.
Later it was slower than friday was on the same flats. Still got a few over a pound.
    I got a 2lb 3oz SLAB!
We cleaned 8 nice fish today on our return.
Thanks Rawhide fer havin' me on yore boat, even if I did out fish ya! :D

Nice to meet ya Jabbo, and Sorry Dog I was too sleepy to get up and wave, I'll shake yore hand next time, OK?
Rawhide's boat has a nice sleeper deck on it.

When you turn around and your partner is snoring you might think the bite a little slow. You got to draw the line somewhere when your trying to watch 6 rods in front and the 4 rods out the back at the same time. Once I teach him to stay awake I'll begin working on his net skills. .....TNT, Sorrydog, Jabbo, and Chuckauten good seeing you guys. I'll let ya'll know how I due Tues. and Wed........

Good talking to all of you. Sorry I had to leave Friday. Rusty was booked Friday and Saturday. Going to Indiana Monday and returning in a week. Will try and get back to big T soon.

Good slab. I was also at taquin Fri,sat, and this morning. The bite was very slow but we managed to pick up 22 friday at the curtain, 21 sat from the curtain as well, And we keep 13 this morning. This morning we caught all 13 in less than an hour. soon as the fog lifted it seem to stop. But they are head to the shallows.

If it wasn't the fog, it was the wind that stopped us cold. Was their any protection from the wind up on the curtain. I heard it's been real good , were you in the channel or out in the open water. Going back Tues. and Wed. might take a ride up there...

We stayed at the curtain from fri-sun. could not fish any where else. and yes we were in the channel the entire time. did better at the far end by the landing than the other side. i found them in the swift water that runs through the curtain from the main lake. there are about 3 good spots like that were it runs through the curtain.
