OK, finally got home @ 6:30PM (Had to stop a friend's house to grab a hit of 151 cause none of ya'll brought any! ! (Tx's, didn't need any of that anyway!).
I had a just right buzz goin when I left, not too heavy, not too light. That's cause of the great meal I devoured, man, that was good ! !
Did we not have a great day guys ? It was awesome ! Freezing cold this morning, and a little rough crossing the lake, but, man, sure turned out great !
Alright, am going to try this memory thing.
We had-->

Don & Trudy ---> Chunky & Wife

Special thanks to Dusty for taking charge of the ground crew and overseeing all that stuff ! ! Really, that was an important part of it, I hadn't thought about it that much, but, yeah, was an important thing ! !
SpeckTracker is moving to Montana in three weeks, so, we say to him, you know where to find us, keep in touch !
Special thanks to Chuck @ Boatclub08 for helping us out.
I think I got everyone, if i missed someone, please speak up and forgive, etc.

OK, after assessing all the different personalities there I have to offer my opinion as to the newly elected Slabfest Organizing committee.
My vote goes to-->
John, Dusty, Chuck, Don, Trudy, Doug, Sherry, Shu, ELJ and Nick !
So, ya'll get together and figure out all the details for the next one, I'll be there![]()

I think a guy that live Titusville should be the next organizer. I know he would know all of the good lakes around there. Something keeps coming to me, like his name is something like ghost or Phantom or something like that. Ha!! Ha!!!. Hang in there Phantom, me and Kev-man are with you.
What a great day! And a great bunch of folks, special thanks to those who did the table set-up and organization - although everyone was involved in some aspect - a real all hands effort.
Phantom - great list, however:
Doug & Sherry is Speck/Tater and wife
Don & Trudy is Chunky and wife
Believe me that memory thing trips me up all the time.
I'll be happy to work on the next great Central Florida Slabfest - I'll lead, follow, or get out of the way. Let me start by recommending either Harris Chain or Crescent Lake and a date of either mid-May or mid-June.
Finally, congrats to all the great fisher persons - some great stringers (wife and I caught 2) - hey no laughing.
Don
OK Don, fixed that, that was a "BIG" mistake ! Thought for sure I had it, etc.
If we are going to have another fest this season, it needs to be held within the months of Jan and Feb, according to my last years' records, all bites were over first week in March (my opinion only), that's when I switch over to Catfish/Shellcrackers/Bluegill......
(Fishin with worms/Crickets)
I see you mention May-June, man, I don't know bout then, am willing to give it a shot though !

Crescent is a great crappie lake... and a terrible launch ramp lake. At least where numbers are concerned. The ramp itself on Dead Lake is great, but parking is not all that wonderful. Ramp fee is 5 bucks if you are not a county resident. The ramp in Crescent City itself is OK, but the parking is terrible.
Which is too bad. I would like to attend one of these and Crescent is pretty close.
Lochloosa has better facilities... but seems to be losing water as if someone left the plug out of the bottom of the lake. But it has a nice public ramp with quite a bit of parking and a nearby private ramp (Lochloosa Harbor) that is cheap (2 bucks to launch) a campground, and a great little store and nice folks running the place.
