THANKS for the info.will be comming on vac.from mi. for the first time to this part of fl. feb.8th would you have any more info. like in feb.what end of the lake to fish ext.!would be much appreciated.thank you P.S.looks like thay had a good time at the slabfest on monroe

Google Maps is your friend... but coming from Lake City the closest ramp would be the one in downtown Crescent City. Otherwise you have to drive all the way around the lake. Now, "driving around the lake" might not sound too bad, but Crescent is NOT an easy lake to "drive around". It takes a long while to get to the Dead Lake ramp from Crescent City.

Thanks Tom, I will give it a try one day. I was wondering about that ramp b/c of the bait store. We have one here in Lake City but it stinks, most minnows are dead or there bouts and they are aweful pricy. Good luck this weekend

Did another day at Crescent today.

Not good, not bad. Caught 29, which is below our usual total, but 16 of them were over our personal "keeper size" limit of 12 inches. The fish we were on still ran a bit smaller than the ones we hit last week.

Any one fish Crescent Sat or Sunday. What is opinion for a monday trip?

Went to dead lake at crescent lake weather was great we caught
way over limit just kept 50.Fished all day foggy till 10:30 am.
Will clean fish Tues.Will be back Thurs.

Got 35 keepers on Tuesday. Largest weighed was 1#13oz. First time on this lake.
Hope to go back soon.

Glad to hear you had a good trip Joe. We are going to have to wait until next week now... my fishing buddy had a tooth go bad and a emergency trip to the dentist took priority over fishing this week.

I was down there this past weekend doing some work. Looked out on the lake and I swear I could have walked across the lake, just jumping from boat to boat. I bet the fish thought they were trying to swim between a mine field with all the poles I saw hung off some of the boats.

Ya'll have your fun but make sure you leave enough for seed.

ps. rumor has it they are killing the specks in lake George at the old bombing range.

fishing crescent lake late next week for the first time out of crescent lake resort. would appreciate any help on jig color, fish depth for crappie. longlining jigs. also , anything on catfish or stripers for location.
