    Default Rattle traps on crappie?

Has anyone else done this? People call me crazy when i tell them thats how i catch them alot. I started trying to catch some bass on them and one day in the large pond behind my house i pulled out a crappie then i kept catching like that. I thought well maybe its just this pond. So when i went out to some other lakes and tried what do yo know i kept catching them like this. Now you can troll these but you have to troll them faster then you troll minnows and other baits. I dont know the exacts but i would say if you can figure it out about the same speed as a medium retrieve on a spinning rod. Now this works in winter really. Once spring starts this dead ends and is not to effective at all. Anyways has anyone else done this? also if you try it i would love to see how you did.

pre-fishing for a bass tournament on Lake Toho once, I tore them up fishing some open water hydrilla with a trap. One after the other...chunks.

I guess that tells me, if your on 'um.....trap 'um.

I've seen some huge slabs caught on them over the years on various Arkansas lakes.

While anchored out with a spread of lines in the water, the wife will get bored and start tossing a silver/black back trap. She has caught prolly 18 that way over the last couple of years. Not only here, but back in Texas as well.

caught a bunch on them... Usually use the smaller ones, but have caught 'em on the larger ones as well. Seems like the best color imitates a shad.
