I discovered today.....and I am discovering more and more each day..that there is something on this new machine I did not have with the old one. It seems that Windows, in their infinite wisdom, have given some of us bored individuals something to play with....and you can go for hours and not realize it. If you have Vista and a mic on your machine, you can actually activate something called "voice commands" or something like that. You can click on it from your control panel.
It really is neat. Kinda makes me feel like the age of star trek is here. You can't turn the machine off or on, but you can make it do almost everything else....just using your voice. Start programs, dictate emails, surf the net, whatever. Just have to get use to it. I have played with it so much today (what else do I have to do for a few days) that I got off the computer and looked at the tv and said "Press Guide". Course nothing happened, but you can get hooked on it for sure.
If you have Vista and a mic, you can sure eat up some time just being on the thing.
