    Default StickMarsh/Farm13

Took off this morning dragging the boat southward to the mighty Stick Marsh.
Took an hour and twenty minutes from here (Titusville) doing 60, plus a little, all the way.
Pulled in right as Glenn pulled in. We had pre-arranged today's fishin trip watching the weather all week long.
Was a really nice morning as we crossed the stick marsh and headed on in to the "pond".

High anticipation, low results, only pulled a couple in on first drift.
Did another drift in another place, not much better, decided to take the tour and do a little exploring.

We ran down the East side to the corner and tried it awhile = NADA, cruised on westward through the stump forest and set up a northward drift = NADA.
Just couldn't seem to find em.
Finally we headed back and decided to join in the collection of boats that had, for some reason, come together in this one particular area LOL.
I think we did pull in a couple more here before the winds cranked up the waves and drove us away and back to the hill.
Here's a pic of Glenn standing by my Crappie boat, the guy just doesn't look 73 yrs old does he, Ha !

Check this out, here's a fellow that wears creased jeans to go fishin in, heck I can't even get my ole lady to iron anything of mine !

Oh yeah, here's the pic of our catch, almost forgot to take the pic, had already started cleaning em.

All in all, was a great mornin, nice to fish with Glenn again, appreciate it Glenn, and for sure, we'll have to do it again. Is only going to get better, etc.
    Have a nice day everybody,
    Danny

    Danny,

Even though the wind came up and beat us to death, I still enjoyed our trip. You knucklehead, I won't be 73 until next year. Treat your lady right in the bedroom and she will crease your jeans. I can give you tips. Apparently you need them.

Glenn, I'll take some of those tips myself. My wife quit ironing a long time ago.

I don't know what looks better, Glenn or that Ranger Crappie rig.

Hey, we'll do that "wife swap" thing, I'm betting you'll be sending mine back after two days! LOL

Look at that fish cleaning table, that thing is nice. When Im 73 Im gonna have something like that. Doesnt cutting through the rib cage like that dull that manual fillet knife? How many fish can you clean before you sharpen?

    Thanks

That just happens to be a "Professional" fillet knife.
Not your run of the mill fillet knife.
I generally use it till I'm done with however many fish I have, then, always sharpen it on a long (12") whet rock I have on the bench on the back porch so it'll be ready for next time, etc, etc.....
