Did another Lochloosa trip on Thursday.
We caught 64 total (and one bass) and kept 12 that were over 12". The two largest were 1 lb. 14 oz. and 1 lb. 9 oz. All the rest of the keepers were a pound or better.
Water is still down, but no lower than it was when we went back on Dec. 3rd.
Fish are still scattered and still on the same pattern we have been catching them on since August.
We talked to a lot of the folks at the ramp and at Lochloosa Harbor, where we always eat lunch. Most are wind drifting minnows and not doing very well at all. But they won't change the way they fish even when we tell them how we are catching them. Funny how human nature bites you on the ass sometimes. They "wind drifted minnows under corks for the last 20 years and by god, they are going to wind drift minnows under corks for the next 20".
Hilarious.
Tom
PS: We caught a BUNCH of 11 1/2 and 11 3/4 inch fish. The average size we are catching is going up a bit.
