While I have never stayed at the local places, I do read the reviews and such.
From what I gathered was if you're expecting 5 star service and accommodations... might not be for you.
If you're more interested in clean, simple, southern hospitality..... it's a win !
Nice folks.... great fishing... and not a bank busting price..... it's a win.

As close as I am, I have considered putting my RV/Camper on a spot near the lake, and their prices are moderate.
Great places, good people, and not to far from town and restaurants and such.

Just sayin.....

From staying at both Ingrams and the Whip in the past, Id say your dead on with that info. My wife and I will be getting there in less than a week and then will continue on to 2 other fish camps in south central Florida after a few days. Fish camps are basic low cost, simple accommodations, my wife is a hillbilly so we are both always satisfied to get a boat slip and a decent place to sleep. If your camping id recommend bringing food and drinks, there aint much around, although there's a country corner store from what I remember that had some good fried food. Oh yeah be careful on the lake there's standing timber in deep water, but the risk is worth it. Have fun
