new rig from last week's SALT excursion was my goal early this am on the SJR. Crack o' dawn was time o' splashdown with me being the 1st wet trailer.79* w/t was a whole lot cooler than the forecasted 94* Florida air temps. A beautifully calm, serene waterway set the stage for a very enjoyable 8 hours with only a modest amount of boat traffic. Blue-Ice BG's on 1/48 jigheads on 5.5' light action spinning was the ticket of choice today. Stout, well-varied species came to play which always adds favorably to all of my chosen venues.
I ended up bringing home 6 specks>14.5", 2 Catties>20.5" but the fights and coloration was breath-taking!
My new rig surely appreciated the fresh environment and all worked flawlessly.
Thanks for readin/ridin'/reelin'...enjoy the pics 'til next time-
