We are bordered by large bodies of water, and that causes swirls in the patterns.

I use an APP called WINDY and it provides lots of details, projections, and speeds of course. I think you might like to see all that gathered in one spot for those days your eagle is being ornery. I am able to be prepared for speeds and such and plan my trip accordingly.

I am South of Gainesville ( you would have driven right past my house recently ) and we get lots of swirling action around here. As you near the seas, the winds become much more reliable as to directions, as in from sea to shore. Our Summer storms can be reliably guessed as to where the worst parts will be. I-75 is like a natural divider, with weather being different on either side. Newberry gets pounded reliably.

There are definitely patterns to be seen if you look. Take notes and see what you notice. My best observation- If it is a NorEaster, it will blow for either three days or five.

Hope the winds stay as calm as they have been and you get out there and get after them.
