Yesterday's follow up trip to Monroe had a specific game plan that was to be followed = Hit & Run. While making the dark o'clock run across State, my phone announced it was Captain Don uncharacteristically trying to reach me. "Got a flat tire on my Pontoon single axle trailer, I'll be a little late". I told him to relax, take care of business, I'll meet him at the ramp unless he needs me to help. Our safe light launch plans now avert to Don's arrival @7;30, no biggie, things happen. Wind/weather forecast were encouragingly predicted @10% rain(later) and 2 - 5 mph winds. Don agreed to the planned hit & run strategy to maximize the slow bite search over many areas in this 1/2 day trip. We struggled with our 13 rod vast array of colors, lure depth but did manage 3 nice keepers(>12.5")Name: 20200610_062817_resized.jpg

Size: 137.6 KBwith 3 good fish finding freedom midway to the boat. Also worth mentioning in the sheet of glass, intermittent cloud conditions, was a 3" black thing sticking up in the distance. As I scooped it up in the net was pleasantly surprised to find a 6 foot medium casting Shakespeare 'Ugly stick' minus reel. Name: 20200610_063304_resized.jpg

Size: 57.3 KBIt cleaned up really nice for Don's arsenal. The occasional full sun did make for angler toast du jour, ouch!. OK, as far as the "getaway car"...enjoy the beautiful '35 Lincoln(minus side-mount spare)Name: 20200608_145201_resized_1.jpg
