Been two weeks since my last non-tidal outing, so it was time to do the REFRESH! The menacing high-wind forecast had no effect on Monday's venue since the Full Moon seems to have it's way with all earthlings. My normal skinny spinning gear with artificials-only with my newly spooled 2 lb. Gold Stren was used with slightly heavier jigheads(1/32). The 20 -25 knt. winds proved to be a challenge but no way was I headin' back to the barn after a two hour drive! Tried casting with beefier tackle for the resident Sunshine bass with no luck, so my leash was pulling heavily to my panfish targets. Didn't take long to connect and it was another for the books after Mother Nature's curtain slowly started to fall. Hand-ties and miniature tubes were the baits that fooled 'em. The Gold Stren proved itself with ZERO breakage and nice casting distance. Only thing I recommend is a double-line knot(Palomar, double improved clinch), recent skinny line failure with single-line loop knots being the culprit. Water temp was 66 - 68 degrees with females actively spawning. Limited out with Crappie up to 1 lb. 5 oz and then THOSE Bream(see pics)!!Name: 20200310_002605.jpg
