Size: 26.7 KB with intentions of picking up from Monday's trip with a slight deviation = #9 weight fly outfit added to arsenal. Hoping to finally add, with a more concerted effort, a saltwater catch(Snook, Red, trout) on hand tied streamers. Wind held me at bay for quite some time, so I decided to throw Mirrolure 'lil Johns(1/8 oz head) on med. spinning gear. Fifteen minutes later, next to a mangrove edge, the telltale tap initiated "Game on"!! After easily realizing that she was going in the wrong direction(deep water), she headed back to her "safety zone" within the mangrove root system. After making several HERCULEAN attempts to test my 12 lb braid/15 lb flouro combination, I persuaded her to the friendlier side of the boat. It was another stereotypical SNOOK altercation that ended 10 minutes later with a belly massage with my landing net. Name: 20200304_202845_resized.jpg

Size: 58.2 KB ]I managed to maneuver/wade/pull my J16 Carolina Skiff into some protected backwaters to start waving the long rod but unfortunately 1/2 day was gone now with no results. So it was back to med-light spinning tackle/trout mode artificials only. Winds had reached 15 - 18 knts. by this time, so I deployed 10 lbs of galvanized chain to perfectly control my drift. Trout bite was only medium by my standards with 10 caught yielding a nice 5 fish limit ( 16-19 inches)Name: 20200304_194724_resized.jpg
